Hard to Believe it - But I'm Back!

Ladies and Gents, I have returned to the blogosphere after a long hiatus from my charming little blogspot.com. This NY Fashion Week as re-inspired me to come back to my savvy ways!!!

Let me bring you up to date - I am currently and assistant to a major fashion designer. I work a lot, but I love it here; I started here in January. And while I try to always look the part, i feel like every day is a fashion show around here with all the tall beauties walking around. However, don't be deceived because most of the girls here are actually lovely! New Year, New Ways to Shop

I have totally neglected my charming little blog, but not to worry, I am back and better than ever with my shopping expertise.

The one thing I have to say is that its easy to get into the winter shopping rut. STAY OUT OF IT. I know its cold, snowy, and miserable, but you gotta get out of the house. Trust me, bargain shopping can be very very rewarding and its a great way to spend a lesiurely day (just know your limits people!!). This is why I'm getting back out there and checking out whats good. Rumor has is that Loehmann's is bankrupt (tear) and will be practically giving away the likes of Valentino (love), Dolce, Cynthia Steffe just to name a few.

Also-instead of just buying buying and more buying, I'm even selling some GREAT stuff on ebay. Watch out, you could be lucky enough to win one of my items!

Savvy Shoppers Must Give Back

In lieu of the pre-fall shopping season, it is time to clean out the closet, dresser, trunk, or whatever else you store your duds in. Last week I went through my numerous ensembles and took 3 bags of clothes, bags, and shoes, to the Salvation Army.

It's the best feeling to know that my gently used items will be adored by someone who can't even afford bargain shopping. I looked kind of silly walking down the street with a cart full of clothes, but it felt great (despite the heat) to give them to charity instead of toss them!

Now that I have room to shop, its time to hit the sales! I challenge you to give back fashionably too. ;)

Calypso Sample Sale = $250 skirt for $9

Today is the last day to check out the Calypso sample sale! I is awesome and worth it if you have an hour to spare. Same place as the DVF sample sale was,
5th ave between 28th and 29th.

No joke, I got this 100% silk skirt for $9.00. UNBELIEVABLE! Savvy shopping at its prime!!! The original tag (if you can see it!) says $250. Loveeee it!! No its not used, or torn, or stained, that is just how well you can do if you know how to shop at sales.

Discount Theater Tickets Anyone? (Tony awards 6/13/10)

I'm a theater enthusiast, in case you were unaware. I try to see as many shows as possible! A few years ago I discovered theatermania.com.
